　　在清領時期，為了維護地方安全，在鹿港巷內設置隘門，做為防禦的工事。每至薄暮，隘門皆關閉，以防止宵小與盜匪入侵。目前，鹿港僅存後車巷的隘門。此座隘門建於道光10 年（1830），高約10尺，寬為8尺，門楣上書「門迎後車」。

Houche Lane, Lukang Town

　　During the Qing Dynasty, some gates were built in the lanes of Lukang as defense against thieves and pirates. The Gate of Houche Lane, called “Ai-men”, standing ten meters high and eight meters wide is the only one presently remaining in Lukang. Four Chinese characters inscribed on the transom of the gate depict “The Gate of the Houche Lane”.
