　　乾隆48年（1783） 福建漳州府南靖縣人， 恭請關聖帝君神像渡海來台，於鹿港港墘邊創建廟宇。南靖宮曾於嘉慶5年（1800）擴建，道光20年（1840）、民國59年曾重修，民國92年再次重修，保存南靖宮的古風貌。

　　南靖宮為單間二進一院的建築格局，分別為三川殿及正殿。正殿主祀關聖帝君，配祀關平及周倉。

　　In 1783 immigrants from Nanjing County, Fujian Province brought the statue of Saintly Emperor Guan to Taiwan and established the temple alongside Lukang Harbor. Nanjing Temple was extended in 1800 and restored in 1840 and 1970. Nanjing Temple was designated as the county monument by the government on July 14, 2000. By 2003 it was completely restored and its original features preserved.

　　The structure of Nanjing Temple is characterized by a sequence of two principal buildings with single-door width and two entrances, which include front hall, main hall and one inner courtyard. The temple is chiefly dedicated to Saintly Emperor Guan, as well as his subordinates, Guan Ping and Zhou Cang.
